SMS Town Hall Museum – Reuse Plan as Museum, Jaipur in association with Lord Cultural Resources

Project Brief: Lord Cultural Resources is involved in converting the heritage building of the Sawai Man Singh Town Hall, Jaipur into a world class museum that tells the story of the history of Jaipur, the first planned city in India. This museum will be a first of its kind in India- a unique experiential museum based on the collection of the AD&MA and the history of Jaipur.

The Sawai Man Singh Town Hall, a protected state monument, will be the site for an exciting new museum experience in Rajasthan. The visitor experience will be unlike any in the region, employing display techniques and standards used in the t museums around the world. The exhibitions will tell the story of Jaipur with a strong emphasis on the regional and historical context of Rajasthan. The new Museum will include a gallery dedicated to children and families.
