Project Brief: Detailed study, documentation-based preparation of Masterplan for Kanipakam temple town, which is a small village on the bank of Bahuda River. “Kani“ means wetland and “Pakam“ means flow of water into wetland. Kanipakam is home to a very popular Hindu temple of Lord Ganesha called as Kanipakam Vinayaka Temple. The Temple was constructed in the early 11th century CE by the Chola king Kulothunga Chola I and was expanded further in the 14th century by the Emperors of Vijayanagara dynasty.
