HRIDAY City Anchors for Ajmer

Project Scope: To prepare the City HRIDAY Plan, Infrastructure Improvement Plans for heritage areas, the Concept plan for development/renovation of a City Museum/ Cultural Park, in addition to reviewing DPRs and monitoring the execution of works from a heritage perspective in Ajmer.

Project Brief: Selection of Agencies as HRIDAY City Anchors for 12 cities Under Scheme ‘HRIDAY’ of Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.

The National ‘Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana’ (HRIDAY) Scheme was launched on 21st January 2015 with the aim of bringing together urban planning, infrastructure improvement, economic growth and heritage conservation in an inclusive manner while preserving the heritage character of each Heritage City.

DRONAH is the city Anchor for Ajmer. It is responsible for advising and supporting the City Mission Directorate and to prepare the City HRIDAY Plan, Infrastructure Improvement Plans for heritage areas, the Concept plan for development/renovation of a City Museum/ Cultural Park, in addition to reviewing DPRs and monitoring the execution of works from a heritage perspective for Ajmer and Pushkar area.

DPRs have been approved by MoUD and implementation of work on site has commenced for all 5 projects to be undertaken in Ajmer under the HRIDAY scheme.
